Hi, I’m Cole
I’m a Computer Science & Engineering student at The Ohio State University who enjoys building things that are both technically solid and actually useful. I like working in that space where code, data, and real-world problems overlap.
About Me
I’m a Computer Science and Engineering student at The Ohio State University with a strong foundation in technical problem solving and people-centered leadership. My life and work are shaped by my faith in Jesus, a commitment to integrity, and a desire to serve others well. Outside the classroom, I’ve grown through experiences in athletics, coaching, and ministry, where I’ve learned how to lead teams, communicate clearly, and support people through challenges. I enjoy building practical, impactful solutions, whether that’s a smart parking system, analytical tools, or software that makes everyday tasks easier. I approach every project with a focus on reliability, clarity, and long-term value. This site highlights the projects I’m developing and reflects the kind of engineer and leader I strive to be.
Many of my projects begin with a simple question: “Can I build this myself?” Whether that means designing a smart parking system, analyzing network traffic, or turning a standard class assignment into a more refined, real-world solution.
What I work with
Languages & tools I’m comfortable with right now:
I’m still actively learning and improving — these are just the tools I reach for most often.
What I’m interested in
- Understanding systems and networks beyond the surface level.
- Using data to make smarter, real-world decisions.
- Implementing AI and machine learning in practical applications.
- Continuously improving how I think, learn, and build as an engineer.
What I’m looking for
I’m interested in opportunities where I can:
- Work on real codebases, not just examples.
- Learn from experienced engineers and pick up better habits.
- Contribute to projects that have clear impact for users or the business.
- Help advance the field of Computer Science and contribute to the next generation.
If you think my background and interests might fit your team, I’d be happy to connect.
Outside of code
When I’m not working on code, I care a lot about people, community, and personal growth. I enjoy spending time with friends, playing and following sports, serving in ministry, and being part of teams where people encourage each other and work toward a shared goal.
